The commentary has been expanded to include a growing list of intranet weblogs and case studies. If there are any entries that are missing, please suggest additions.
Version 1.1 released
Version 1.1 of the Intranet Review Toolkit has been released, incorporating a number of changes and enhancements:
- Addition of a new section on intranet-based applications.
- Cleaning up of a number of existing heuristics.
- Expansion of the intranet strategy and management section.
- Creation of an Excel summary sheet, designed to be given to intranet stakeholders.

IntranetReviewToolkit.org launched
Today marks the launch of IntranetReviewToolkit.org as the new home for the Intranet Review Toolkit. This site will provide a central clearinghouse for resources related to intranets, including:
- The latest version of the Intranet Review Toolkit
- A commentary on the heuristics in the Toolkit, along with links to supporting resources, reports and books
- A simple mechanism for providing feedback, comments or suggestions
Of particular note is the commentary, which provides an increasingly comprehensive set of additional resources, discussions and other materials to support the heuristics in the Intranet Review Toolkit. This information helps to explain the reasoning behind the heuristics, as well as providing concrete suggestions for improvements.
We are excited by the potential of this commentary, and plan to steadily grow this resource over time. Please provide your feedback to help us best target our efforts.
